Preparations are underway for Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. Various programs are starting with great fanfare from Saturday, spanning four days. However, for the first time in 40 years, Trump is set to take the oath of office in a different way from tradition.

Donald Trump will be sworn in on January 20 (Monday). The swearing-in committee is busy with preparations, but a snowstorm is wreaking havoc in America. Along with heavy snowfall, there are also blood-curdling conditions. That is why Trump announced on Truth Social that the president’s swearing-in will be held inside the US Capitol instead of outdoors.

“It is expected to be extremely cold in Washington on Monday, the day of the inauguration. Temperatures may drop as low as minus 12 degrees Celsius, with a chance of a maximum of minus 5 degrees Celsius. That is why my inaugural address, as well as other speeches, will be held inside the rotunda of the US Capitol building. People should not be bothered by freezing temperatures during the swearing-in ceremony. Temperatures will reach a record low. I do not want people to be bothered by a freezing blizzard,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. Trump recalled that when former President Ronald Reagan was sworn in for a second term in 1985, the inauguration ceremony was held inside the rotunda of the US Capitol building due to severe cold.
